Elizabeth Beasley
Ordained in the Episcopal Church, Elizabeth Beasley has served in the ministry for nearly three decades in two countries and a number of cultures. She holds degrees from Wake Forest University (BA), Harvard Divinity School (MDiv), and the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee (STM). Her STM thesis was entitled God Willing and the People Consenting: The Theology of the Ordinal of the Episcopal Church.
Liz has served as the clergy-in-charge in parishes in Hawaii, Ireland, and on the US Mainland. She has served as second-in-command in a diocese in the Episcopal Church. Throughout her time in ministry, she has held substantial roles in which she helped discern people’s call to ministry or to a particular placement in a parish. She is an Honorary Canon for life at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Honolulu, Hawaii, in recognition of her work with those preparing for ministry in Hawaii. She has served as Chancellor of the Joint Cathedral Chapter of St. Mary’s Cathedral, Limerick, and St. Flannan’s Cathedral, Killaloe, a role that focuses on education.
Liz currently lives in the west of Ireland with her husband, author and musician Kirk Beasley, and is a priest in the Church of Ireland.
